1. Rinse lentils under cold water and drain.
2. Combine lentils, goat shanks, caramelised onion, carrot, celery, garlic, bacon, tomato paste, stock and wine in a 5-litre slow cooker. Cook, covered, on low for about 8 hours.
3. Add peas to cooker, cook covered for 10 minutes. Season to taste.
4. Serve goat shanks garnished with parsley.
